This small anecdote happened when again dumbo, nandy and I met in jayanagar 4th block.
We were sitting in the geriatrics ward (as nandy calls it) as only old folks sit there and discuss life’s wild experiences ( now don’t conclude we were doing the same thing). All of a sudden nandy remarks, “KYA GUARD HAI BAAP?” (Well, I learnt later that’s what he said).
All of sudden dumbo starts rolling on the floor and laughing, I asked him what he found so funny in the remark. He says “he is admiring some security guard”. It was my turn to ask “what guard???” I thought we were trying to locate a female with a nice a**…. As I heard “KYA GAAND HAI BAAP” (well, me the pervert all the time).
It was Nandy’s turn to laugh now. He tells he was talking about front guard of a Scorpio parked which according to him looked grand.
Nandy – Kya guard hai --- of all the things in the world, a car’s front guard,
Dumbo – Kya guard hai --- security guard, is that what keeps going on his mind?
Kiran a.k.a myself – Kya guard hai….no no Kya gaand hai… u get the picture!!!
One remark – 3 totally different perceptions. Perception is a powerful thing. But, the incident still remains a classic in our minds. Thought you all should know it too.
